Nursery Planning

Part I: Inspiration

The first step to decorating any room is finding inspiration — typically I do this by flipping through my favorite magazines, and spending a LOT of time on Pinterest. I changed my mind on our nursery about 10x before finally settling on an idea, so I’m actually happy we decided to not do anything to the nursery for a while so I could take my time in deciding exactly what we wanted to do.

You can read more about the photos I found for inspiration HERE.

Part II: Planning

Next, I like to make a layout of the room, and see how all of the items will fit. Doing this gives me a nice idea of how everything could look and the general feeling of the room/layout. I also create different mood boards with the products I’m currently loving, to see how everything would look cohesively together.

Part III: Purchasing

As a last and final step, I will usually reassess all of our options, to make sure we’re picking the best products for our space before purchasing. Below, I’ve listed all of the options that we considered purchasing, by category. If you click the image, you will be directed to the link.
