Safe + Sustainable Finds

Over the past month, I’ve made it a goal to really focus on sustainability and non-toxic products. I’m trying to cut down on my single plastic use, as well as switch out some of my beauty products to be more clean, safe, and non-toxic. For me, this is extremely overwhelming, yet something I’ve been wanting to do for a very long time.

Here are a few of the products I’ve recently purchased that I’m absolutely loving. If you have any products to share, please, please reach out! I am so eager to start making bigger life changes when it comes to non-toxic products and sustainability.

Swedish Dish Cloths

Loving these reusable swedish dish cloths. We keep ours in the sink (right next to our Scrub Daddy), and put it under the faucet when we want to wipe down countertops or clean up a spill. They dry SUPER quickly, too.

Food Huggers

We’re constantly cutting up vegetables and throwing them in plastic bags to go in the fridge so we can use them later (I know, cringe!) When I saw these food huggers I immediately purchased them as I knew this would be a quick and easy fix to our problem. Food Huggers ensure that fruits and vegetables are kept fresh long enough for them to be enjoyed instead of tossed in the trash.

Summer Friday Serum

At this point, if you’re a beauty lover, you know that Vitamin C Serum is so important for your daily regimen. I had been using an amazing one, but after looking into the ingredients in more detail, I realized it was actually quite harmful. That’s when I ordered Summer Friday’s Vitamin C Serum. I love their hydrating mask, so I figured it was a safe bet to make. After using this morning and night for 3 weeks, I see a major difference in my skin. My face feels brighter and much more firm!

Microfiber Towels

I don’t need to say too much about these — other than they’ve cut my dusting time in HALF and have saved me from using a lot of paper towels. Yes, I’ll admit it, I was cleaning with paper towels. But that’s in the past. I’m officially obsessed with these super power towels.

Stasher Reusable Silicone Bags

Endlessly useful, reusable, and non-toxic, Stasher bags have come to the rescue! No more plastic zip-log baggies for your sandwiches, fruits, veggies, or leftovers. Stasher Bags has created the first self-sealing, airtight, non-plastic bag. The bags are made from pure platinum silicone, making it safe for humans and for the environment.

Lux Unfiltered

Your everyday, gradual, non-intimidating self-tanner that is hydrating to your skin, easy to apply, buildable, non-transferring, and the most natural-looking color and glow. All ingredients are non-toxic and vegan, and cruelty-free. I’ve just started using this product, but I can tell you that it smells great (does not smell like a self tanner), and did not transfer to any of my clothing. You can easily use this everyday like a normal hydrating lotion.

Bamboo Cotton Rounds

Replace your disposable cotton rounds with Greenzla’s reusable makeup removing pads. You can use these with makeup remover, or with your favorite facial products. Then simply wash & reuse. They’re also made from 100% Bamboo Cotton, making them 100% biodegradable and compostable.
